an adult one-day painting workshop at the ArtRoom in Topsfield .
Ellen applies an abstract, expressionistic technique to
realistic subject matter by focusing on
simple composition, bold color and strong and deliberate brushstrokes.
Her approach is direct, painterly and intuitive.
